Beautiful remembering and how slowing down to do so can generate gratitude. Choosing this way for myself on a Saturday morning when I couldn't muster up the energy to do what is mine to do today: more PT exercises that promise to lead me to walk again. Naming and giving thanks for those who have tended and given of skill, time, guidance, love and hope to me in this season. 💜
Oh, Melody, you are on a challenging road, but you are nonetheless on the road to recovery. I hope you are continually offered gifts of tending as you go!
PS. I see you often practicing gratitude and noticing the small moments of beauty that are easy to miss!
Thank you for poets who linger over each line with love.
Such a funny word—linger. I wonder what the root word is. The word ‘slowly’ was written on the rock I picked at that retreat many years ago. Yep, grateful for slow, lingering moments.
And thank you to the woman
Who paused to write this
Who invites us to reflect, remember, and reconnect
To those things that fill us with joy and gratitude
That remind us of shared humanity, that we are all connected
and the goodness of this shared existence.
Beautiful Annette, thank you!
Aw, Mary Kay. Your words means so much! Thank you!
My lord Annette. You are so gifted with Noticing and Saying So. Thank you. 🙏🏼
Thank you, Victoria. Your gifts help sharpen mine!

Annette, thank you for the smile you put on my face, and thank you for the tears swelling in my eyes. You have a wonderful way with words. 💖
Oh the feeling when someone finds the words for something our soul already knows and feels! I know that feeling, too!
Ahh. Lovely opportunity to exhale and take in the beauty of the ordinary. Thank you.
Thank you indeed!

And thank you to soul sisters who agree to linger in the holy wild together and who affirm you and love you, warts and all!
I am trying to be patient with the morning coffee…thank you for the reminder to be grateful
I need these reminders, too!
